The TAPI project implementation is one of the examples of the successful foreign policy. Natural gas demand of the economies of Afghan, Pakistan and India increases, thus, the construction of TAPI gas pipeline will ensure long-term supply of energy in the countries of South-East Asia. It will ensure further economic development of the region. Last year in December it was started the construction of gas pipeline of Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) and the third stage projects of industrial development of "Galkynysh" natural gas pool.

Currently, in southeast of the Karakum desert is located a super-giant gas field "Galkynysh", ready for trench laying for more than seven kilometers of steel pipeline.

Сonstruction of the Turkmen section of the pipeline employs more than 600 people of various construction specialties from velayat specialized agencies of the State Concern “ Turkmen oil and gas construction” ("Turkmenneftegazstroy"); the general contractor is the trust “Mary oil and gas construction” ("Maryneftegazstroy") and the subcontractors. The customer of this project is the State Concern “Turkmen gas” ("Turkmengaz").
